To Our Community Members: a note on confidentiality

We understand that many people may feel fearful or uncertain about seeking help after experiencing crime such as assault, robbery, or sexual violence. At Victim Services Center of Montgomery County (VSC), we provide free, confidential, and compassionate services to all victims of crime, regardless of a client’s background or immigration status.

When you are a VSC client, your safety and well-being are our priority. Pennsylvania law protects the privacy of your communications with us. It is the same privilege a person would receive who consults a psychotherapist for treatment.

VSC is an independent, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. VSC is not a law enforcement agency.

We are here to connect you with counseling, advocacy, and any assistance that you may need on your healing journey, which may or may not include making a report to police. Our goal is to create a safe space for everyone impacted by crime, regardless of your circumstances, and our services are designed to protect your privacy.
