Alyssa Fairman and Kiley Addis will present on the ways in which media and news influence how society perceives and understands survivors of sexual violence. They will analyze celebrity cases as well as television and movie portrayals of sexual violence in order to discuss how these forms of media contribute to our culture of victim blaming. This is a free event but RSVP is required.
